Supernatural fanfic recommendation:

WINCEST --> "Road to Shambala" by astolat. This story simply blew me away. It's been four years since the boys killed the YED and they still continue hunting. Sam is plagued by visions, his abilities grow stronger and stronger and Dean learns how to cook. And they start having sex.

I love how completely at ease Sam is with making love to his brother, giving Dean the whole "Get over it" speech. Dean is totally traumatized by it, blaming it on being drunk and whatever because he fears that now, Sam would finally up and leave him. But Sam has has no intention to leave, he just wants to take the relationship with his brother a step further.

This fic is so insanely hot that I have no words to describe it properly. I'm not even sure what's so hot about it since there is only one really graphic scene. But then, I'm a sucker for a very submissive Dean and here, he is ready to do anything to keep Sam with him. I love it and I can't recommend it enough.

I came across an LJ icon with this text that made me smile like a dope: I don't skinny dip, I chunky dunk. I'm not even sure why I find it so amusing, I just do *grins*

I don't get why religiously insane people read books that they know will raise their hackles. Browsing Amazon, I found "To Reign In Hell" by Steven Brust which is a book about the revolt of angels in Heaven, how Hell came to be and the great war between the angels and their fallen comrades. But some of the reviews... *shakes head*

You know, I think that Supernatural spoiled me senseless. In this fandom, 90% of fanfics are already finished when they find their way to the readers. Yes, they might be posted in parts, but usually, it's like 1/10 or 3/8 or something so you know that the author a) has the story already written or b) they know exactly where the fanfic is going and how many parts it'll have etc. And because of that I'm now reluctant to even start reading fanfics that don't have a specific number of parts listed from the get-go.

And since we're talking about fanfiction, where do the authors get the amazing, amazing titles? Just yesterday, I stumbled across fics named "Gun, with Occasional Kangaroo" or "Hold Me Now, I'm Six Feet From The Edge..." These are so... I mean, they catch you and literally force you to read the story. Too bad I lack the talent to name my fics *sigh*

Supernatural fic rec time!

RPS --> "Catch Release" by [livejournal.com profile] rejeneration. If you like an emotional, insecure, suffering Jensen, this story is just for you. So good!

And I started reading "Moonshine" by Rob Thurman and let me tell you, Nick and Call and Sam and Dean should join forces and kick demon ass together. Kripke and Thurman may be fraternal twins for what I know. These two sets of brothers are like clones of each other, protective big bro and psychic little bro included.

Okay, obviously, Rob Thurman is a SHE. Rob is short for Robyn O.o Sheesh and she wonders why everybody is so surprised that she is a girl :D

As you know, I love podfics. Especially of the slashy kind. But so far, I've found only two "readers" whose every work is excellent and without a flaw. It's [livejournal.com profile] fanfic_read_by and [livejournal.com profile] zabira. They don't read the fics too slow nor too fast, not too loud nor too quiet. And there are no background noises, no screeching nor humming or anything similar. Other readers... nya nya :( Most of them read the fics in a too quiet voice so that you have to turn the volume up and up and up but then the humming and crackling of the recording gets really loud and you don't understand anything anyway *sigh*

You know, everybody knows that Jared Padalecki is of the huggy bear sort. But it's Jensen who turns him into a real octopus. And it's not just Jared who is influenced by him in this way. Even Tom Welling doesn't mind grabbing him (the Impala incident from last year?). I think there must be something about Jensen that just makes people - even the oh so manly types - touch him. Might be his open smile or his genuinely friendly attitude or something but I think it's cute :D

Okay, according to this blog the whole LJ situation is much worse than we think (thank you for the link, [livejournal.com profile] suzvoy!). Holy cow!

I think I'm falling in love with due South once more. Thanks to the audiofics that are being posted by [livejournal.com profile] zabira in the [livejournal.com profile] podslash comm, I'm beginning to see the appeal of the Fraser/RayK pairing (at first, I was a Fraser/RayV shipper!). But now... I especially love stories that are set after the show's ending because this series had the slashiest ending ever! *g*

You know, I loved RayV because he was so incredibly protective of Fraser. It was very touching. With RayK the dynamics changed - Fraser was very protective of RayK. Both of the Rays were great but the question is... Which one of them did you like better?

[Poll #1034537]

And lets assume that Fraser and RayK became lovers after the show ended - I mean, come on, it was pretty obvious. Even the actors joked about it in the blooper! :D So, who would be the Top?

[Poll #1034538]

Yes, I have too much time on my hands :D
