Star Trek: Voyager 105-108
Aug. 27th, 2013 08:35 pmYou know, these episodes were... quite boring. Oh, I liked the one where they were trapped in a cloud seeing Voyager trapped in a cloud - aptly called The Cloud - that one was great and really original. But the rest... Organ stealing? Paris accused of murder? The one with the wormhole and the Romulan scientist? I mean...
I don't mind that they are always okay, that nothing has a lasting effect, I prefer knowing that characters will survive. What I do mind is when they get into trouble because of their own stupidity or recklessness - see Neelix in Phage or Paris in Ex Post Facto. And the one with the wormhole - of course they wouldn't get back, it was just the 7th episode! So, it was like watching a train wreck, waiting for the whole thing to go wrong. And I really don't like episode like that.
Also, I like Janeway and Chakotay, those two are awesome. But the rest? They are either bland - Tuvok and Kim - or downright annoying - Neelix and Paris. So, it's really hard for me to actually care when the ep is focused on anyone but Janeway and Chakotay.
Or maybe I'm just not in the mood and I'm making myself miserable watching something I'm not in the mood for. That's also possible. I think I will postpone watching this until I actually feel like watching Star Trek. It would be a shame to ruin my experience.
