Okay, I lost a book. Err, no, actually, I lost a summary on Amazon... Hm, that doesn't sound right either, but... well...

It was fantasy book. The main hero was somewhere, doing something (wow, how enlightening ;P) when he found out that his best friend and lover (male) is under siege in some castle. So, he rushed off to save him with his mystical powers. Three books in total. At the end of the third book, he married this friend of his plus other people and built an extended sorta family that was common in this world.

Not much, huh? But I really need to find out the title of this book. Can someone help me?

Sounds like Diane Duane's series:
The Door into Fire
The Door into Shadow
The Door into Sunset

I highly recommend the whole series.

*flyingtackleglomps* That's it! Thank you so much. You saved my sanity :D

Question: I read the reviews and some of the people complained about the ending, about how they married other people too, that it destroyed the whole story. Could you tell me your opinion?

I don't mind spoilers. I'm one of those people who read the ending first :D

well... they aren't exactly monogamous throughout the entire series, so I would have been really pissed off if they'd dropped the various lovers at the end. And part of it was a political marriage, to someone that was already married so of course they had to marry the queen's spouse too.

I didn't have a problem with the multiple marriage thing, but then, I tend to write and read threesomes (or more).

I don't mind moresomes either :P

Did you read Fire's Stone by Tanya Huff? Another threesome and a really cute one too :) I actually wanted them to end up together ;)

Thank you for the info! *huggles*

I have read the Fire Stone. It's one of my favorite Tanya Huff books.

I will warn you though, that the Door into Fire series is both Het & M/M. I still really really liked it. I just wish she'd put out the 4th book in the series someday. I also like her So You Want to Be a Wizard young adult series. And two of the wizards bear a striking resemblence to Herewiss & Freelorn from Door into Fire. (The two main characters/lovers)

And are there at least some m/m hints in the wizard books of hers? I know that it's not an m/m fantasy, but would you consider it m/m-ish like some animes are? For example GW?

There are hints... but they're subtle, since the book is primarily for younger readers. But the two adult guys living together and being pretty affectionate and a couple... yeah. there are hints. but no smut.

Nope, it's not the Nightrunner trilogy. I love Seregil and Alec! I hope that Flewelling will write the next book about them like really soon. I don't like her other trilogy :( Too depressive and weird :D

I want to order this series now. Can you tell me something about the m/m pairing there? One of them is a knight right? Do they meet in the first book? He falls sick in the second, right? Tell me more, I'm a spoilerwhore :D

lol yes, one of them is the knight and the other the main character. there is not MUCH "shonen ai" in the first books. but its still sooo great! The writing style is good and the characters are nice. I dont really remember when they meet, i think it is the first book but for a long long time nothing happenes. You dont even know if Travis (main character) is gay or bi or whatever... The thing is, later on there is a stupid women (i dont like her *g*) who falls in love with Travis too and i am not sure how it will end because i read somewhere (i still have to read the last book) that she gets pregnant from Travis. O.o as far as i read, Travis confessed his love for Beltan (the knight)... Ahw you have to read it, i love it so much. its been a while since i read it, that was before the last book was published but it is now and i can order it *yay* Uhm yes. sorry i cant tell you so much, that was probably confusing for you *g* just go read it ^^

Nope, not confused at all :) I always like to hear the opinions of other m/m lovers :) It's better than just read the reviews.
