I'm thinking of giving the Nikita reboot a try after all.

I hear it's pretty good but that's not the reason why. The reason is Nikita and Michael and the fact that they get together early on and actually stick together which is something that La Femme Nikita never gave us, despite how amazing that show was.

I mean, don't get me wrong, for me there will always be only one Nikita and that's Peta Wilson.

She was simply breathtaking. Tall, broad-shouldered and athletic, watching her move was like watching a dangerous cat prowl, smooth and elegant yet ready to pounce and tear you apart at any given moment. She was mesmerizing *_* But the fact is, that La Femme Nikita didn't have a happy ending. I mean, both Nikita and Michael survived but... Well, if you've seen it, you know what happened. It was a real downer for me because, after all that crap they went through, they deserved to be together. I hope that Maggie Q's Nikita will rectify that, that this time we will get a happy ending for Michael and Nikita.

Also, I will give a try to Elementary after all. But I won't watch it as a Sherlock Holmes story because this show has nothing to do with Sherlock Holmes, as many reviewers noted - interesting characters, flat on the Sherlock Holmes part. Especially Joan Watson.

What does she have in common with John Watson? Was she a soldier? No. Was she in a war? No. Is she a decorated war hero? No. Was she shot while trying to save someone? No. Is she partially disabled, in a physical or PTSD way (the only reasonable explanation for Doyle's Watson's "wandering injury"?)? No. Is she a practicing doctor? No. Does she write about Holmes' exploits? No. So, why IS she called "Watson" and not Mary Jones because she has absolutely nothing in common with Doyle's Watson but for her surname? Haven't the foggiest.

So, I'll watch the show and probably enjoy it, I love procedurals after all, but I will consider them John Smith and Mary Jones, not Sherlock Holmes and John Watson because those? They definitely aren't. I think I'll be happier that way and not forced to compare Elementary to Sherlock because in that comparison, it would ultimately fail, as many reviewers reported - see Ausiello and others. So yeah, John Smith and Mary Jones it is *nods*
