I just seriously cried my eyes out. Leto and Ghani's story is so incredibly heartbreaking.

At the very end, when Ghanima was standing on the rock overlooking the desert and talking about how Leto just ran and ran and ran and when he exhausted himself, he came back to her, laid his head in her lap and asked her to help him find a way to die... At that point, I was crying like a little kid. And then, when she added that Leto would never find love... I could barely see by then, I was so in tears.
Seriously, my inner romantic wants to re-write the ending and give those two a happy end. They so deserve it. After what they - and especially Leto - had to go through to correct all the mistakes their father and aunt and grandmother had done. But there are no happy endings on Arrakis, huh?
One of the things I loved most was when Leto found out he could call the worms to him just by stomping his feet, that he didn't need a thumper. And that the worms would follow his wishes...

And another sad part was this... Ah, Leto, you poor, poor boy.

But is it just me or was everything Leto-related very sexual? I mean, his captivity, when the girl was feeding him spice and always touching him. When he took in the worms, his expression...

Well, James McAvoy is very, very hot in this. And I mean, seriously hot.
So, yeah, my poor little heart is crushed. I knew how it would end, of course. Yet it still hurt to actually see it...
