The Glades 101

katikatI think this is another keeper!
What I liked:
* Jim was so annoying, to everybody. The way he just kep bugging them and bugging them until they just did what he wanted to MAKE HIM GO AWAY! Ha!
* Loved seeing Carlos Gómez again! I hope that we'll see much more of him character in the future. His banter with Jim was so hilarious. Loved them golfing.
* Callie was great too. The way she didn't need or want Jim at all. Loved her "female perspective", hehe.
* Loved the case! Man, I thought that Jim would find out that his partner killed the boy, but he killed his WIFE! I didn't see THAT one coming. Wow! A crime show actually managed to surprise me!
What I didn't like:
* I thought that his chats with the kids, the pool boy and the underage girl, would lead somewhere, but they didn't. It felt like this plot... fizzled out. On the other hand, it was a great mis-direction.
*thumbs up* That's three definite keepers - Covert Affairs, Haven, The Glades - out of four shows I tried - still not sure about Rizzoli and Isles - not a bad score!

Date: 2010-07-19 11:27 pm (UTC)Covert Affairs wasn't bad but it sort of...I dunno...a bit cliche I think...I kind of saw the plot coming from a mile away (tho I admit for a moment I thought the assasin was going to be her fling XD )
Haven't tried out Haven yet but mom says it's good.
Rizzoli and Isles sort of hit with me too...I just thought Isles was too...unreal...and I never liked Sascha Alexander as an actress...especially on NCIS and I didn't like her any better on here...I may try another ep and see if it gets any better...tho you may not get this but the fbi guy is billy burke who plays the Bella's dad in the twilight movie **grin** it took forever to figure out who he was without the mustache and he definitely lost weight for the show.

Haven: I like for the atmosphere. And Audrey is unexpectedly cool!
Rizzoli and Isles: I'll give it another ep - this week's - but... I haven't seen the Twilight movies, I'm just reading the first book now.

Date: 2010-07-21 08:36 pm (UTC)I'll admit that Auggie is so much fun...but I just find Piper Perabo such a mediocore actress...I think the character would have been so much better with someone with a little more personality.
heh the twilight thing isn't necessary, it just amuses me to be able to tie characters from other things...to go "omg i know who that is! I remember him/her from such and such!" lol
