This show... it left a really bad aftertaste in my mouth. At the beginning, I liked Diana and Cassie. By the end, all I wanted was for Diana to get away, far, far away from the town and her circle as possible. And I think the ending, though very open, was good enough and I'm actually glad that it ended where it did. Because Diana was off with Grant with a chance at normal life and that's all I wanted for her.

I cannot believe just how much Cassie soured herself and her relationship with Diana for me. The way she wouldn't listen to Diana, to anyone but especially to Diana when Diana told her that she was making exactly the same mistakes as her mother what with letting Blackwell in, listening to him. And voila, Diana was right. Ugh...

The only positive thing? That both Charles and his mother regarded Diana as theirs, his daughter and her grad-daughter, even though they both knew that Diana was Blackwell's child. Blood didn't matter to them. That was wonderful. The rest... eh.

And so many famous recurring stars, Gale Harold and Joe Lando the most well known among them. Still, if it hadn't been for Shelley Hennig, I would've dropped the show just a few episodes in.

I'm now halfway through the show. It was canned after one season, so I now have only 11 more eps to go. And I think I can understand why it was canned. It's not... bad per se, just a bit boring? It's very... teenage-y. And I know that it's a show about teenagers for teenagers but so is Teen Wolf and that one is much more action driven and funnier. Oh well...

I started watching the show for one reason and one reason only: Shelley Hennig. Shelley plays one of the main characters, Diana Meade, the "scout girl". Meaning, the nice one. She's cute and sweet and funny and generous and... simply adorable. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't have bothered with the show in the first place, to be honest.

The lead is played by Britt Robertson. This is the first thing I've ever seen her in. Before, all I knew about her was that she was Dylan O'Brien's girlfriend. She's cute too. I love her character's, Cassie's, friendship with Diana. I love that they didn't go down the partner betrayal route with the Diana-Adam-Cassie love triangle. I love that Cassie was more interested in preserving her friendship with Diana than in snogging with Adam. That was sweet.

Who I can't stand is Faye, though. She's bitchy just because. Eh. Not my type of a character.

And I still can't believe that Gale Harold - Gale Harold! - is playing a dad in this one. Diana's dad! Sheesh, the time sure flies...

I haven't been around LJ/DW much lately, I'm either hanging around Tumblr, reblogging Teen Wolf related stuff, or working on my fic "Consequences" - it's now over 10k words long and people seem to really like it, both quite a surprising thing to me.

So, what's new? I fell hard for Shelley Hennig - see picture. She's playing Malia Tate in Teen Wolf, a wild werecoyote girl. Starting with this season, she's a regular and that makes me insanely happy because she's incredibly cute and sweet and a great actress and I adore her part.

She hasn't been in many shows/movies so far, mostly Days of Our Lives but since I don't plan on going back to that show - 2000 episodes were more than enough for me, thank you very much! - I chose another show of hers, The Secret Circle, to sample. Yup, the CW show that got canned after only one season. From what I understand, TSC had the same problem as The Tomorrow People: boring beginning. And when it finally got really good, nobody was watching it anymore. Well... At least it freed Shelley to play Malia?

In any case, expect me to talk a bit about The Secret Circle in the near future. I just watched the pilot and even though it didn't really grip me, I love Shelley's character, Diane Meade. And I actually ship her hard with another girl from the Circle, Faye. They are the only ones having sparkling chemistry. Me? Shipping femslash? Who woulda thought, huh? ;)
