don't be dull, be fannish

Finished Castle S3. Captain Montgomery's death had me bawling like a little kid. Especially his funeral. That was so well done, the cinematography. Though I'm not looking forward to Captain Gates in S4. I've never liked her, the way she was permanently bitchy. Well, I don't own S4 on DVD yet, so it'll be some time before I get to that.

What to watch next? I think... Falling Skies S1. I really need to make a dent into the piles of unsorted DVD boxes that I have lying around my room. And FS S1 has only 10 episodes. Besides, I really love the family dynamic in it.

Started watching Falling Skies. I have no idea why I haven't watched it from the get-go, when it started. But suddenly, I got this craving to watch a sci-fi show where a bunch of people is fighting hostile aliens. Kinda like the old V, you know, the one with Marc Singer and Michael Ironside. Gosh, I loved that show so much, even though it had a stupid, dumb, crappy open ending. But whatever. Thus Falling Skies was chosen. And it's GLORIOUS!

I love the Mason family so much, Tom and his sons. I love that they stick together, no matter what. They have such a wonderful relationship, especially Tom and his eldest son Hal. You literally feel how much these two love each other, the actors are simply amazing! I love that they are not afraid to hug, to show feelings, because they know every day can be their last. And it really is glorious!

And the female characters! So far, I like Maggie best. She's rocking it. When she shot Bill, just point blank, for what he did to her and what he planned to do to Karen. Loved it. That girl has balls of steel!

Also, the aliens! Scary beasts, aren't they? Though I'm more scared of their robots, then of the aliens themselves.

I'm so curious where it's headed next. How will they save Ben? Awesome, awesome, awesome!
