Went to see
Thor: The Dark World this afternoon - and LOVED it! Man, I loved it so much. Much more than
Iron Man 3 - which disappointed me terribly - and also much more than the first
Thor movie. I loved it not so much because of the action but because of the characters: Thor, Jane and Loki in particular.
I have what you might call an "unpopular" opinion in this fandom. Yes, I do like Loki. A lot. And Tom Hiddleston is rocking the part like whoa! But I would always, ALWAYS choose Thor. And not just because of Chris Hemsworth's blue, BLUE eyes. But because of the epic goodness of Thor's heart, his intentions. I guess I always go for the goody-two-shoes but kindness and modesty is incredibly attractive to me.
And another "unpopular" opinion of mine: I love Jane Foster. I mean it. I love her. The character is incredibly sweet and smart and strong-willed without being pushy or bitchy, a trap writers often fall into. And she makes Thor genuinely smile and he allows himself to be vulnerable with her. I root for them as a couple so much.
And though I would love to see Thor with Lady Siff, another great female character in these movies, Siff knows she can wait for Thor. She will live for another two, three thousand years, after all and Jane - what? 50 tops? What are fifty years in the life of an Asgardian?
( Movie specific spoilers! )I would give this movie 8/10! It's so worth seeing. It's just too bad they showed it only dubbed here. Pah! :(
And you know what? The movie made me crave watching
Chuck again! Zachary Levi was wonderful as Fandral!
