Thor: The Dark World

Went to see Thor: The Dark World this afternoon - and LOVED it! Man, I loved it so much. Much more than Iron Man 3 - which disappointed me terribly - and also much more than the first Thor movie. I loved it not so much because of the action but because of the characters: Thor, Jane and Loki in particular.
I have what you might call an "unpopular" opinion in this fandom. Yes, I do like Loki. A lot. And Tom Hiddleston is rocking the part like whoa! But I would always, ALWAYS choose Thor. And not just because of Chris Hemsworth's blue, BLUE eyes. But because of the epic goodness of Thor's heart, his intentions. I guess I always go for the goody-two-shoes but kindness and modesty is incredibly attractive to me.
And another "unpopular" opinion of mine: I love Jane Foster. I mean it. I love her. The character is incredibly sweet and smart and strong-willed without being pushy or bitchy, a trap writers often fall into. And she makes Thor genuinely smile and he allows himself to be vulnerable with her. I root for them as a couple so much.
And though I would love to see Thor with Lady Siff, another great female character in these movies, Siff knows she can wait for Thor. She will live for another two, three thousand years, after all and Jane - what? 50 tops? What are fifty years in the life of an Asgardian?
I loved that Frigga's fighting style was so very similar to Loki's. You could see who taught him that. It's the details that make these movies so rich. I loved the vulnerability Loki showed to Frigga. Their scenes were wonderful - just like his reaction to Frigga's death. The way he broke down and tore everything apart. I wonder if he felt guilty because it was him who pointed out where the dark elves would find Odin's bedchamber, after all.
I loved all the scenes with Thor and Loki. Loki was all but maniacal in his glee - and Thor was mostly sad again. I saw a wonderful graph on Tumblr, it was two pie charts, one of all the people Loki hurt - and the other of all the people that hated Loki. Loki hurt Thor the most - and yet Thor was the one person who didn't hate Loki at all. Loki's death scene was beautiful. I wonder if it gave Loki a feeling of satisfaction, the knowledge that Thor loved him after all. And the scene in the throne room - how did it feel to Loki, hearing Thor praise Loki, talk about Loki with respect and fondness...
So, did Loki kill Odin? Because Odin is dead, both Anthony Hopkins and Kevin Feige confirmed it. Did Loki murder his stepfather? Or was Odin dying anyway? We saw how weak he was when he talked to Thor, why he tried to convince Thor to take the throne.
I also adored that Thor's warriors stood by his side, that they protected him. I would love to see their relationship explored more. Just like Thor and Heimdal's friendship...
And I loved Darcy and Ian! And Selvig!
I would give this movie 8/10! It's so worth seeing. It's just too bad they showed it only dubbed here. Pah! :(
And you know what? The movie made me crave watching Chuck again! Zachary Levi was wonderful as Fandral!
