Wow. WOOOOOOOW! PEOPLE! Gravity's of the best movies I've seen in years! 10/10! Go and see it in the cinema and in 3D too. It's FANTASTIC! No wonder RottenTomatoes rates it 98%. A-frickin'-mazing!

Sandra Bullock is fantastic in it. She and George Clooney are so incredibly sweet together. No sexual spark, IMHO, just a good old friendship. The actors have been friends for many years and it bleeds over into their characters. Clooney's Matt is such a cool guy and Bullock's Ryan? Wow. One of the best female characters I've ever seen. Competent, yet vulnerable, strong, yet prone to just hitting things in frustration when stuff goes wrong...

I'm honestly glad I knew how the movie would end because I could enjoy it much more, knowing the outcome. The 3D is breathtaking. I was stunned. Several times, I literally flinched when it seemed like the debris was flying right out of the screen. Glorious!

I went to see it with the twins and even though they are not the biggest Sandra Bullock fans, even they enjoyed it immensely. And that means something! We had to choose between Gravity and Rush. Which means I won't get to see Rush in the cinema because the girls will be gone for the next month or so and I don't like going to the movies alone. Oh well, will get it on DVD.

Prepare yourself for an abundance of exclamation points and capslock abuse because I frickin' LOVE THIS MOVIE LIKE WHOA!!! \o/

This is a breathtaking action piece. Perfection pure. Non-stop action. Fantastic actors. An unforgettable tune! Simply terrific. The only movie that has ever come close to being this good, action wise, was Fast Five - yet another film that's enthralling because of its action AND characters! Seriously, every director who's about to make an action movie should study this one. It's simply amazing.

I love all three acts for very different reasons:
Act 1 - the elevator - because of the fantastic introduction of Jack Traven and Harry Temple. I just loved the banter between them. Jack's "Shoot the hostage!" was an instant classic. So much action and humor!
Act 2 - the bus - the main part of the movie with so many twists and turns and surprises and non-stop action. There was always something happening. So much suspense! Jack getting on the bus! Finding the bomb! The race through the city! Jack trying to defuse the bomb! \o/ \o/ \o/
Act 3 - the train - Jack and Annie! JACK AND ANNIE! For me, they are one of the most beautiful movie couples ever! His decision to stay with her and just hold her while the train was about to crash. Aww...

Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock are... I mean... For REAL!!! So much chemistry! Jack was so determined to save the bus, yet so kind to everybody in it. Annie was driving the bus while being amazingly awesome. And their instant romance! Seriously, by the end of the movie, the characters had known each other for exactly 4 hours! And yet...

Really, truly beautiful. You just wanted Jack and Annie to become a couple and be happy for ever and ever amen!

That's why I hated, HATED the sequel. Really hated. They should have never made it, especially once Keanu Reeves dropped out. In my head canon, Annie dumped Alex and went back to Jack once it really hit her that Alex had been lying to her the whole FRICKIN' time, despite knowing about her issues. In my head canon, Annie returned to Jack because she told herself that, if she was meant to end up with a SWAT officer anyway - as it was the case, obviously - she could have stayed with Jack who never, ever lied to her. Yeah, I'm so convinced of that, my fingers literally itch to write that fic. Because Jack and Annie were meant to be!

God, I just love these two...

I'm a slasher at heart but there are a few het couples that really get to me. And Jack and Annie are one of them - just like Neo and Trinity...

If you haven't seen this movie, you should rectify that immediately!!! You won't be sorry!

The Lake House is hands down one of the most beautiful movies that I've ever seen. It's tender, loving and so... tranquil. There are no huge fights or upheavals, there's no adrenaline, you won't LOL like a loon. The way the relationships are portrayed, it feels almost dreamy, unreal. And it's really, really beautiful.

Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves are incredible together and it's really too bad that they haven't been in more movies together, just in this and Speed. I really love to watch their interaction, it's simply gorgeous. And their characters in this movie, they are so lonely and sad and that makes their relationship even more special. The small gestures that Alex makes for Kate, like when he spray-paints that wall in the city, thanking her for a Sunday spent together. Or when he hides her book underneath the floor in her apartment. And Kate, when she sees the picture of her lake house in the architect's office... Simply beautiful.

But I also love, truly, truly love Alex's relationship with his brother. Henry's so much younger, at least 8 years younger, and you can see that he worships his brother. The scene in which Alex tells Henry that Kate broke up with him and that he still loves her so incredibly much, that she feels more real to him than anything else in the world - Henry's almost in tears, his heart aches for Alex so much. Beautiful.

So yeah, this movie's stunning. I know that it's a remake of a Korean movie (which is based on another Korean movie which is based on an American movie, it's a real circle!) but I don't care. This film has such a calming effect on me, it's so heartwarming... Yes, it makes me very happy.

You know, of all the actresses out there, in the wide, wide world, Sandra Bullock is my favorite one. It's not just that he's so incredibly beautiful...

... She also seems so sweet and caring. And I love her movies. I haven't seen all of them - she was in many! - but out of those that I did see, my favorite three are:

1. Speed
2. While You Were Sleeping
3. The Lake House

She and Keanu Reeves clicked for me like whoa! I couldn't even enjoy Speed II because Annie and Jack were my OTP. The sequel simply doesn't exist for me, even though Sandra is in it.

Which reminds me, I should really re-watch these films... 8)
