So, I've been reading Oliver Bowden's "Assassin's Creed: Renaissance" and it's a really good book! I mean, really good. Fast paced and fun despite the gloomy summary. And I just love Leonardo Da Vinci here! Paraphrasing:

Ezio: What do we do with the body?
Leonardo: Oh, let's put it with the others *totally unruffled*
Ezio: The others? *sweatdrops*

And the fact that Leonardo got tangled up in an affair with a male prostitute doesn't hurt either, of course! :)

You find the most awesome books, I swear. I'm going to add this to my to-be-read pile mountain.

It's a book to this game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ugePkNwato

I'm actually surprised how much I like it. There are no deep thoughts, no descriptions, just a fast paced action.

No deep thoughts/all action sounds pretty good right now. I've been overloading on non-fiction and ponderous Russian intrigue novels (and am totally behind on my reviews).

China Star by Bartle Bull, which is all about Russian expatriates stalking and killing each other in the 20s. It's a compelling story but told in an infuriatingly flawed manner, resulting in SLOG. The main character needs a good hard slap, for a start.

*sweatdrops some more* Living in a post-communist land, I have a great aversion to Russian literature XP

Ah. Indeed. Well, this doesn't remind me all that much of Russian literature--it reminds me very strongly of Les Miserables, actually, which I'm fairly sure was intentional. It's also written by an American, which I suspect is part of the slog-related chaos.

But I quite see your point. How about a nice book about an ADD traveling surfer (http://www.amazon.com/Chasing-Waves-Surfers-Obsessive-Wandering/dp/1594851131/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1265212491&sr=8-1) instead?

Way behind on the reviews.

:)) I'm on a manga trip these days. I bought a big pile of manga and I want to make a dent in it.
