"Retrograde" by Martha Wilson, read by kyizi. Gen. Summary: The Atlantis expedition has been lost for three years. SG-1 goes to find them, and arrives just a little too late. Length: 2hrs 50mins.
This is one of my favorite - if not THE favorite - strictly gen stories in this fandom. Martha Wilson simply rocks at narrating an adventure in a very engaging way. I just wish that she was writing tie-in novels for SGA - and that the show itself had gone in this direction *sigh*
Off to listen to the sequel!
"For the love of-- Dammit!" Jack cut off the comm and stared at it in helpless frustration. "Now they're all down there. How did that happen?" he said to Hammond.
"Now you know how I felt all those years," Hammond answered, not sympathetically.
"It's a good thing we're not actually holding anybody hostage, because apparently we're crap at it."
