SLASH --> J2, AU: "In From the Cold" by ladyjanelly, read by group slashpad. Summary: Jensen is homeless and sick, Jared is a doctor at a free clinic. Length: 5hrs 8mins.

They stand together rocking slow and soft. Jensen clings like his life depends on it and Jared can’t find a reason to not do the same. He can imagine how this looks to Jensen's sister. His mother. And fuck it all. He loves Jensen. He loves him enough to fight for him if that’s what they want and he’s not gonna pretend otherwise.

This is one of my most favorite J2 fics ever - I especially love the thoughts and insights of a brain-damaged Jensen, his "I'm ME!" - and the group slashpad turned it into an amazing podfic!

I love that fic so, so much. It's one of my comfort fics, one which I've read again and again. Jared was so kind there, and gentle, and it's one of the few fics in which I like Jared even more than I like Jensen! Not that I dislike Jensen in that fic, but you know what I mean :)
