Uhm, today, I received a rather weird review for my story "He is Having a Baby!" in the Fake fandom. You remember my mpreg story? Well, I received this on the ff.net: First of all, I must commend you on your writing ability. You have a very nice narrative style, and the story flows really well. Because you are such a good writer, it makes what I'm about to say particularly difficult, but speak up I must. I have rarely read a story that made me twitch, shiver, and moan with embarrassment and disgust quite like yours. Pregnant RYO? Did you really have to do that? Isn't he erroneously feminized in enough fan fiction already without someone taking that final, fatal leap into MPreg? I understand that in AU anything goes - but to distort the characters of FAKE so far beyond recognition is criminal. Your title made me curious (although in a watching-a-train-wreck kind of way), your wonderful narrative style drew me in - unfortunately, in my opinion, you're wasting your abilities by writing this kind of squickish trash.. So, am I the only one who doesn´t understand the point that girl wanted to make? I mean, if she KNEW she didn´t like mpreg, why did she read the story? I posted clear warnings just like I do in all my fics. And feminized Ryo? Come ON! Isn´t he the poster boy for uke in the manga itself? The only way I could "feminize" him more would be to force him wear a dress! And how did I feminize him? Making him preggie? I mean, isn´t it the point of mpreg stories to make one of the MALE charas preggie? And who should carry the child if not the uke? Besides, I think I handled the whole birth-situation rather well. He didn´t cry, sniffle or something and actually talked Bikky through the whole birth, giving him advices about what to do. I´m rather confused what was the point the reader wanted to make...

kracken, girl, if you get reviews like this for your Fake stories, I really do understand why you approach them with caution! :D

Why are people so limited in their thinking? *rolls eyes* They must only like vanilla ice cream too.
See, this is kind of polite compared to what I'm used to, but I hear the, 'they're femenizing Ryo' rant in the corners of it though. That's what they always go ballistic over in my fics.

*hugs* Don't mind them. You can write Ryo in a moo moo and with antenae if you want to. Fanfic is about what YOU like.

You are SO right, girl! I write fanfiction because *I* like it. When someone else likes it too, then it´s a welcome bonus, but that´s all! :)

Hm, I don´t think I feminized him, but you´re right. No matter what, someone will always dislike something on the story, right? You can never satisfy everyone! :)

And hopefully, you´ll write more Fake stories soon! :)
