Rec me a show. A show that isn't on air anymore but it ~is~ out on DVD. An old show that you think I absolutely need to see. I've seen many, ~many~ shows so it's possible that I've seen it already, but it doesn't matter. Let's share the love together! *group hug*

Hoepfully you'll like this but A Nero Wolfe Mystery from 2001. Stylish, funny, smart and gorgeously produced detective series based on fantastic books from Rex Stout. One of the best book to series adaptations I have ever seen and in my personal opinion one of the best shows ever produced on TV. It's about a detective named Nero Wolfe and his assistant Archie Goodwin with an ensemble cast (bit players come back in different parts which I love because they're *fantastic* actors but it may bug some people?) it's set roughly in the 30s-60s and it's just oh, utter love. Timothy Hutton played Archie Goodwin by the by and produced the series. :)

I can get you an episode to sample if you'd like before you go and buy dvds? Also I've always wondered, there are rumors that the extended episodes and widescreen editions are available only via region two, is that right?

ETA: I checked Amazon UK and they don't carry Nero Wolf at all :( So I don't know about the extended version...
