Title: Autumn, And the Leaves Fall

Words: 150
Notes: First in the "Four Seasons" drabbles.
They are strolling through the park, just the three of them...
Jensen, Jared and Sandy.
Wading through the red and gold rain, the autumn fog making the naked tree limbs look almost skeletal, they watch Jared and his dogs tumble through the fallen leaves like overgrown puppies, playful and content.
And then Jared falls, the bed of autumn glory almost swallowing him. He‘s laughing, laughing so hard and the dogs pounce, yapping happily. That‘s when Jensen says it, his smile soft and tender, white puffs of steam passing through his chapped lips.
"I love him."
Sandy, bundled up against the cold, cheeks rosy, doesn't even blink, doesn't miss a step.
"I know," she says, the corners of her mouth curling up in a gentle smile.
Falling silent again, Jensen and Sandy shuffle on.
There is no need for words. Sometimes, happiness is a private, quiet thing.
It starts to drizzle.
The End
