* I finished the translation of R. A. Salvatore's "Starless Night", a part of the "Legend of Drizzt" series. Well, it was definitely better than "Legacy", that's true but I just don't like Catti-brie. She's too aggressive for my liking, verbally attacking anybody who dares to disagree with her. Even Alustriel, the Lady of Silverymoon! She has no respect for anybody and that's definitely not a positive trait. Sheesh! Just because she kicks ass doesn't mean that she's likable *rolls eyes*
* An awesome article about the Supernatural set - a tiny spoiler, beware: the title of an ep and where one scene was filmed. The parts that I adored: "Getting to meet "the boys," as everyone on set calls them, was a shining jewel in my career as a television reporter. (...) But the Supernatural crew was just about the nicest group of people I have ever met. (...) Jared and Jensen live together and carpool to work every day. They like to rib each other about who is lazier than whom in the morning, and it's very cute." Aww...
* I have to say that I'm totally underwhelmed by the new shows that will start airing this fall. So far, the only series that I'm totally excited about is The Mentalist. Other than that, meh :( And The Sarah Connor Chronicles premiered last night but I feel no desire to see/download it. I was royally bored with S1, it only got better after Derek appeared but the "terrific" finale that everybody but me seemed to adore just let the show slide into the boring category once more, IMHO. Sorry, but meh X(

Date: 2008-09-09 06:41 pm (UTC)I had only two shows that I adored enough that their cancellation might have crushed me: SGA and SPN. SGA is already canceled so I won't hope for SPN being renewed and go through another heartache like this.
Did you see the SGA cancellation vid? I get teary-eyed every time I watch it. Joe Flanigan is so crushed, sad, disappointed and hurt in that one and his "I hope that the fans don't feel disrespected" is, as many fans said, spot on because it really feels like TPTB don't consider the current cast and fans young and worthy enough to bother with.

Date: 2008-09-09 07:13 pm (UTC)If the ratings don`t totally implode, I still see Warner pushing for a final Season but of course, never say never.
Incidentally, I expect GoGi and OTH to drop once the other networks premiere their Seasons. Two or is it three? are still in repeats so I don`t see them keeping those numbers.

I did and it was really depressing to watch. Don`t know where this youth obsession is supposed to go because in no way would I classify the cast of SGA as paticularly old. They look absolutely the right age for their posts - unlike Keller for example who does look too young for chief medical.
