The undefinable "something"

Some films have it, some films don't - the undefinable "something".

I mean, there's Point Break on TV at the moment. And compare that to The Fast and the Furious. You easily can since both films have an almost identical plot. But as much as I like Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze - and I really, really do - they just aren't Vin Diesel and Paul Walker. Johnny and Bodhi never made my heart race the way Dom and Brian did. I really don't know what it is about Diesel and Walker, but they have this undefinable "something" together. It's chemistry but it goes even deeper. When these two are in one scene together, it's like nobody else exists. It's amazing and heart-stopping. And it's great that in the latest movie, both Chris Morgan (the writer) and Justin Lin (the director) played it to the extreme.

But you know what? This is one of the movies where I don't want to know much about the actors. I didn't watch even one interview in full. I just love the movie and I'm not sure if I would still love it the same if I knew more details about the actors...

Did you ever read either of the 2 F&F/Point Break (Brian/Johnny) crossovers?

One is just a prequel to Brian/Dom but the other remains Brian/Johnny.

I read that one by Maygra, the prequel to Brian/Dom. It was so cool. She's such an excellent writer *sigh*

Huh. Are you talking about It Takes One to Know One (http://www.bone.mrks.org/other/ittakes.html) by thisisbone or did I totally miss a maygra fic? Because you're right, she's a fantastic writer and I thought I'd read everything in F&F and SPN fandoms (plus quite a few in others).

Ah, yes, that's the one. For some reason I thought it was Maygra's since it was posted on her site. Duh *head/desk*
