I'm editing my translation of "The Twilight Herald" by Tom Lloyd at the moment - and I love it when Lord Isak does magik! Every time he tries, some mishap of epic proportions occurs. The first time, he summoned a water elemental. The second time, the Herald of Death himself. The third time - the Reapers! And every time, by mistake! His reaction: Whoops! His men's reaction: What now?! XD

It's actually not a funny fantasy series but I love how utterly perplexed he is every time SOMETHING like that appears - like "Duh! I should have known!" :P
