This is the best story by Lanyon that I've read lately. I don't even know why I liked it so much, all Lanyon's stories are great. This one had it all: love, sex, humor, action. Even the huge age difference of 20 years between the lovers was actually addressed. I stayed up until 1.30am to finish it, even though I have to work today, it was so good I couldn't put it down. Just great!

Groovy! I'll have to add that to the list - do you know if it's available in paperback?

I don't think it's available in paperback form yet. It's so short that it'll probably be a part of an anthology again :)

Random question: do 20 yr age differences between romantically involved characters squick you in fic?

Nope. But they should be at least addressed. In this book, one of the guys is 29, the other is 50. It's all good and fine now but what about ten years from now? I don't want to see a whole book just about that but at least some doubts should be there. Stephen could be Mark's father, after all.

So true. I keep seeing this come up in m/m romances, particularly, and I can't say it bothers me one bit, but it does make me wonder about the popularity of the trope. Any ideas?
