Bones 424: I loved the old professor! Poor Sweets, disregarded again :( But I hope that Booth and his brother will finally get along!

The Mentalist 120: A "midget villain"! Ha! The pony! Fred Lehne! Jane playing everybody again. He's like a sun and everybody circles around him :)

I love Jane's personality. He might be a little difficult to be around in RL for extended periods of time, but there's just something so childlike (and occasionally childish) about him. The glimpses we see of his character in flashbacks before the death of his family look totally different, but then most of those flashes are of him 'at work' where he wouldn't let those impish impulses through. It makes me wonder what he was like before their death.

Also, I never saw this show as particularly slashy until I read a couple of Jane/Cho stories that had absolutely spot on characterizations and now that's all I can see. Made my slashy little heart go all twitter-patted to see Cho jump up to protect Jane from the big, bad yellow eyed demon Marshall. *G*

There are really Jane/Cho slash fics out there? O.O I live behind the moon obviously. I just love Cho and his deadpan humor :P

Jane is so sunny and smiley - and then comes a scene like the one where he told Lisbon that he would kill Red John with his own hands and he didn't care what would happen to him after that. There's a cruel streak in him and that makes him even more interesting!

Yep! They're all by X, aka x_art, aka tenebris - you know, she of the fabulous original art work? She's in the process of putting up a new site (http://tenebris.org/x__art/index.html) and only the last of 3 stories is up so far. They really need to be read in order to get the full story because it's a whole off-kilter, roundabout courtship process. If you want I can send you the fics.

And yes, one of the most fascinating things about Jane is that there seem to be 2 totally different personalities trying to fit in one meat suit. It's almost like watching someone with multiple personalities that knows about the other. One wonder, if Jane were to ever kill Red John, what would happen then?
