4th in the "Mercy Thompson" series and just as good as the previous ones. Briggs just knows how to make the reader care for her characters. All of them are three-dimensional and well-rounded, the good guys just like the baddies. I loved the new characters, especially Chad, and John's fate made me actually cry (it's strange but every one of Mercy's adventures somehow makes me cry in the end). And then there was Adam, Samuel, Bran, Stefan, Warren and Kyle, the fae and the weres, the crazy vamp Wulf, the dojo master... And Mercy herself - she's my favorite paranormal heroine and her world is simply amazing. Another fantastic book by Patricia Briggs!

And now that I'm up-to-date with Briggs' "Mercy Thompson" and "Alpha and Omega" series, I need to catch up on Mark Del Franco's "Connor Grey" series and Rob Thurman's "Cal Leandros" stories *rubs hands*

I can't wait to get my hands on 'Bones Crossed'. You're dead on in your reading of her books as far as I'm concerned. And you're going to love Rob Thurman's books. They're different and enthralling. And in case you didn't know you can follow her at [livejournal.com profile] robgoodfella. She doesn't post that often but she's hilarious and entertaining. She's a fangirl! and actually encourages fanfiction (although she claims she'll never read stories based on her characters).

I read the first two books in the "Cal Leandros" series and I have the next to piled up for reading - so many books, so little time :P And I see that she's bringing out a Trickster novel this year?
