The state of Chuck
Mar. 29th, 2009 10:48 amJames Hibberd from THRfeed - The Hollywood Reporter's Live Feed - answered some questions about various shows, among them about Chuck:
And I love the main trio - Chuck, Casey and Sarah. If you've known me longer, you also know that I don't get attached to female characters easily. I hate the bitchy miss know-it-all sort of characters. So, when I like a girl, it's like a holiday for me. And I really like Sarah. And Allie - Chuck's sister - too.
So, I hope that the show will keep on going. At least for another season *crosses fingers*
"NBC is going to be pretty reluctant to get rid of Chuck. They like the show, critics like the show, fans like the show. Its numbers have been weak recently, but to some extent you have to blame the ratings tide being out at NBC. This isn’t a numbers-based answer I'm giving, it’s more just a sense that if NBC can find any way to make Chuck work, they will."I'm crossing my fingers here that he's right. I mean, Chuck isn't my No. 1 show, I don't have to watch it as soon as it's out but it's quirky and funny and cute and the cast is awesome and their guest stars are simply cool - Gary Cole? Bruce Boxleitner? Morgan Fairchild? - so it's a really sweet piece of entertainment for me.
