Drinking Midnight Wine
Dec. 14th, 2008 09:32 amI tried reading Simon R. Greene's "Drinking Midnight Wine"... Let me tell you, I'm a big fan of his "Nightside" series but this one? Boring. It felt like Nightside without the Nightside, basically the same concept just in a different town. And since he told the story from various characters' POV, it felt dragged out. I'm used to Greene's stories being told from one person's POV which makes his books fast-paced and full of action. This one just... kept going on and on and on... Really not my cup of tea.
So I dropped it, read Matsuri Akino's "Petshop of Horrors 3" and now I'm reading J. D. Robb's "Naked in Death", the first book in her "In Death" aka "Eve Dallas" mystery series. So far, so good :)
Also, I didn't realize that Jo Bannister published another two books in her Brodie Farrell mysteries! I have yet to read book 4 and book 6 is already out *whimpers* Where to take the time to read all I want?
