Riptide - WTH?!

I started watching season 3 and let me tell you, after seeing Wipe Out and Thirty-Six Hours 'Til Dawn, I don't even recognize the show anymore! Where's the fun? Where's the easy banter? Nick now dresses in more layers than Mother Theresa, Cody is suddenly a surfer dude and Murray has been dumbed down so much it hurts! Where before the eps were fun, fast and quirky, they now drag on and try and fail to be deep and meaningful! Not even when Cody and Murray feared that Nick crashed the Mimi did I feel the usual vibes, it was flat, totally flat. What's going on? Did they revamp the show for S3 or what?

They tried to make it a little more GOTW, I think, and they also noticed how much slash they were inserting and thought perhaps they should ease back on it, but, on a good note, not all of Season 3 is like that. I mean, there are less good S1 and S2 eps too.

Season 3 there are some really nice eps too :)

Yeah, I know, but it just feels like it's not my show anymore :( Or maybe I just need to get into it again... I hope that they'll at least stop dumbing down Murray.
