The new Bond was seen and very much enjoyed \o/ Another movie that I need to get on DVD!

* The movie starts with a real BANG! Awesome!
* M was great! "Was she your mother?" "She likes to think so." Mwahaha!
* They drowned the poor girl in oil *shudders*
* The action was awesome. Really really awesome. And so fast!
* I liked Olga Kurylenko as a Bond!girl. She kicked ass.
* I'm glad that they finally got rid of the absurd "Bond. James Bond." line. That had me always rolling my eyes.
* I was happy to see some familiar faces, like Mathise (even though they killed him) and Felix!
* Though some of the editing/cutting was rather awkward, like they had to re-shoot some scenes...

So, both thumbs up and all. Daniel Craig? My favorite Bond so far! \o/

And from the trailers that I saw? I think I would like to see Angels and Demons. That looked awesome. Or at least the trailer did :)

BTW, Supernatural's ratings? Ouch, the drop! From 3.73 mil. and 1.6/4 demo to 3.24 mil. and 1.4/3 demo. Ouch, ouch, ouch! Not the worst rated ep of this season and definitely better than anything last season brought up but still... That's a half a million drop! X(

Oooh, I'm so looking forward to seeing this one. I really like this sort of remodeling the Bond franchise is going through with these last couple movies.

BTW, I wanted to ask you... what book cover is your current icon from that you have on this post? I know I've seen it before, but can't recall which author.

Cheers!

I also like how they changed Bond. I mean, if I was addressed by a "Bond, James Bond" guy, I would definitely think that he was too full of himself...

And it's from Kim Harrison (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1225621.The_Outlaw_Demon_Wails)'s book :)

Thanks! Okay, now I remember it. I tried to get into those books, but just couldn't crack the first one; I'm always keeping an eye out for more urban fantasy to try though.

Oh yes, the first one was awful. I don't get how people can give it five stars all over the place. I mean, come on! The whole mink incident was so terribly boring and awfully written that if I hadn't had to actually make a review of the book, I would have thrown it out! The covers are the best part of the books!

Yes, the covers are definitely the eye catchers. My biggest recollection about that first one is how poor the plot was. She buys out her contract and then her agency puts a price on her head even though she basically did things "legally", but they just wanna hold a grudge? Just felt like a petty reason to try to drive a plot, and I kept waiting for something to happen that would make it all make sense and after a point I just gave up on it.

Have you read Patricia Brigg's Mercy Thompson books? I just picked up the second one. Loved the first one though I caught a couple little plot holes, but they weren't so glaring I couldn't let them go and just go on with the story.

Oh yes, Mercy Thompson is my glee! I will be actually translating her books into Czech \o/ Though her new series in the same world about Anna and Ran's other son is... not as good. Anna is no Mercy, unfortunately. Another great author is Ilona Andrews and her Kate Daniels. Oh my, that girl kicks butt!

I'm not sure if I asked alreay, but do you have a GoodReads account? I'm trying to spread the love through the masses XD

Cool beans that you'll be translating it. That is definite glee *g* I do love Mercy, she's just a really enjoyable character. I did take a break between book one and book two, just because I'd had enough of weres for a bit, but I'm back to it.

I don't have a GR account, but I'll look into it. Cheers!

Also to add:

I personally think it's Ben Edlund's episodes. We've seen a clump of too many of them at one time, and the trend shows a lot of drop off when one of his comedies is airing. I enjoy them in general, but I think the average fan wants to see more of the arc stuff now and see Dean and Sam tackle their issues. It's getting preempted a lot too, this past week it wasn't shown in Denver. :S

Yeah, I liked the ep a lot but they do tend to clump the funny ones together instead of spreading them out...

And next week, the ep will be pre-empted in New York. Shucks! X(

I like Daniel Craig's Bond. He's rough around the edges and has a naivety that the other Bonds didn't have. His Bond is more human and vulnerable, like he was in the books.

Exactly! I thought that especially Brosnan was way too smug for my liking X(
