Just random...
Nov. 7th, 2008 08:48 am* I like the new look of my profile page. It's much cleaner now, not so cluttered. But then, straight lines and dividers always make me go \o/ Me obsessive? Nah... ;P
* According to EZTV, Fox will be moving House to Monday 9pm and Bones to Thursday 8pm mid-season. Hm...
* Also according to EZTV, the CW tossed its plans for The Graysons. Puh, I was actually looking forward to that. Instead of that, the WB is now looking for other franchise they could "reboot" for the CW. Melrose Place is already given *sigh*
* I have the latest SPN ep downloaded but I think I won't watch it until I'm done working for the day. Every time I watch an ep before work, I'm totally distracted and my working ethics go down the drain *head/desk*
* I know that some people on my flist watch Pushing Daisies - I don't have good news for you. According to this article, "It seems unlikely that ABC will pick up more episodes of the critically-beloved Daisies; the show is currently ranked at No. 64 and attracts a mere 6.14 million viewers." Also, from various sources come the news that the crew was already told to halt any further production so it's not even sure if they will air all 13 eps as ordered. Sorry, folks... :(

Date: 2008-11-07 04:12 pm (UTC)...Why would they move House? That makes little sense. Hmm. Anyway, at least I'll be able to watch both House and NCIS now.

Date: 2008-11-07 08:05 pm (UTC)I'm actually rather relieved, mostly because I'm a HUGE Dick Grayson fan and there's 3 reasons why The Graysons really wouldn't have worked for me:
1. They were gonna call Dick "DJ", which is the most retarded thing ever. His name is DICK. He goes by Dick, all the time, by everyone, from his earliest years to the present. Also, Dick pre-Robin isn't even a teenager, and you know the CW would have hired an actor like 18 years or something do the part, which totally wouldn't work for the character. 18-year-old Dick is just about to quit being Robin and be Nightwing!!
2. How long can you have a show about Dick and his family in the circus? Like I said before, it's already jacked because Dick's going to be old to start with, but like ... Dick wasn't even in the circus for a few years before his parents died - it happened when he was REALLY YOUNG. I could see it working if they had Dick become Robin in like a season or two within The Graysons starting, but they're trying to make it too much like Smallville and just have it be about Dick's younger years, which doesn't work for Dick. His younger years just don't last very long!!
3. What they *should* have done is a Nightwing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nightwing) series for Dick Grayson. Nightwing? Is HOT (http://img148.imageshack.us/my.php?image=nightwingiw3.jpg) (also, see my icon - I love him), and Dick Grayson is DC's most beloved character by women. If The CW had half a brain, they'd realize Nightwing is the most perfect character ever for their coveted target demographic. And if you make a show about Nightwing, you've opened the door to have pretty much ANYONE in the DC universe appear, because Dick knows everybody and everybody knows (and loves!) Dick. Like Batgirl/Oracle, Huntress, The Flash, Arsenal/Red Arrow, Donna Troy/Wonder Girl/Troia, etc., etc. And you could even have Robin II/Red Hood (Jason Todd) and Robin III (Tim Drake) appear!! And Alfred Pennyworth!! Eeeeeeeeeeee, AIGH, CW, why don't you do this?
I would, obviously, totally get behind a Nightwing series. I'd follow it as long as it lasted, even if it got terrible. :9
