I'm not sure what to think of the new Bones spoiler. Everybody who reads my LJ knows that I'm a very pro-gay-lesbian-slash person, but I don't know what to think of Angela suddenly getting a girlfriend. I mean, it was mentioned that she swinged both ways and if someone should get a same-sex ship storyline on this show, it should be the free-spirited Angela, but... I don't know, I love her and Hodgins together. For four years she was strictly hetero as far as we know, the bi-talk notwithstanding, and I'm not all that interested in exploring her background, to be honest. And besides, with House's Thirteen having a very graphic lesbian affair, this just doesn't seem... original, I guess, just another show jumping the bandwagon. Maybe if they came up with this storyline sooner or waited a bit so that it didn't feel like they were just copying House... Or maybe it's just me and the fact that lately, I just can't work up much enthusiasm for the show anymore with Zack gone, Hodgins and Angela broken up... *sigh*

Date: 2008-11-05 09:21 pm (UTC)Honestly it's the first time I've said this for a show but I really felt they jumped the shark at the end of season three and fucked up what I really liked about the show.
:( Although the epi where Zack came back *was* pretty awesome.

But it just feels like with Zack's departure, the show lost something... shiny, I gues :( The characters suddenly tend to behave like caricatures of them selves occasionally - like Booth in London. Ick! :(
