This was the funniest ep since Hell House. I found Tall Tales painful to watch, Hollywood Babylon was just okay, Bad Day at Black Rock was ruined for me by the introduction of Bela and Ghostfacers... no, just no. So yeah, finally a really funny ep!

In a very incoherent fashion:

* I liked the black and white feel.
* Dracula was so funny - the moped, the scene with the pizza delivery guy, "I have a coupon!"
* Jamie quite kicked butt!
* Dean's a virgin again! Can I have some virgin fics now, please?
* Hansel!
* On that note, Dracula must have undressed Dean!
* Sam shadow-stalking the guy in the underwear!
* Sam's foot stuck in that door! XD
* And Sam guessing Dean's movie! Ha!

Ratings: 3.06 mil., 1.2/3 demo - OUCH! And we are back to S3's numbers *sigh*

Eureka spoiler! Oh, I loved Jaime as Lt. Laura Cadman on SGA! She rocked! I just hope that she'll be just as spunky in the role of Carter's girlfriend. I'm just happy that he will stop pining after Allison!

Not really!! 3.06 million would have ranked 5th of all of last season's episodes, and it's well above last season's average (2.92 million), and it's typical for Supernatural to see drops for very stand-alone and/or "funny" episodes. I expect the numbers to bounce back a bit next week. And I'm really hoping for a big boost for the episode that airs the day before Halloween. The CW better actually promote it!! Rah.

It's just depressing when you know that the show started with 3.96 mil. this season *sigh* But you are right, there are much bigger drops in rating - some shows on the bigger networks don't get even 6 mil. viewers these days.

I expect the numbers to bounce back a bit next week.

You eternal optimist, you! ;)

Well, it got 3.96 million against next to no competition!! I expected there'd be rather large drops once other shows started premiering, woe. But the DVR viewership will be key - 4.02 saw a much larger percent increase in DVR viewership than 4.01 did, and I'd wager that's because of the increased competition. (4.03 and on haven't been released yet.)

And yes, ratings are down all across the board, which makes it even more commendable that our average this season is higher than last season's. There are network shows getting numbers that would have gotten them cancelled after one episode two years ago!! (Prison Break, Terminator, Pushing Daisies, etc.) Part of this is due to increased DVR usage and more DVRs being used in the Nielsen sample every year. Live+SD is becoming less and less important...

It might bounce back, it might not!! But I think the promo for next week's episode is really cool - I hope the CW airs it enough to get some decent exposure!!
