katikatI'm up to ep 1x10 of Firefly, so only three eps remain. But I loved episode 1x09, when Mal tried to kill Jayne for betraying Simon and River. He was so pissed at Jayne. I loved him yelling that when Jayne betrayed the siblings, he betrayed Malcolm too because those two were members of his crew! That was really awesome.
And SPN's ratings... 3.24 mil. and 1.3/3 demo. That's over 700 000 drop from last week. I mean, realistically I didn't expect more but I hoped. Grey's Anatomy and The Office premiered last night but CSI is still not on and we received such a huge hit. Can you imagine what the numbers will look like once CSI goes back on air too? *sigh* Well, the positive thing is that the viewership rose in the second half-hour from 3.20 to 3.28, thus averaging 3.24 mil. But at least we are not down to last season's numbers. Yet.
And to Naomi Novik's "Temeraire"... Now I understand what the hype was about. This book truly is as awesome as I was told. The relationship between Laurence and Temeraire is simply sweet and the dragon is so cuddly for being such a huge, terrifying beast :) Definitely both thumbs up.
At the moment, I'm reading "Empire in Black and Gold" by Adrian Tchaikovsky, something that I need to review for my boss. It's actually quite interesting. In the book, there are various groups of people that took over insect-like abilities - Vasp-kinden can fly, Ant-kinden communicate with their mind, Mantis-kinden are great assassins... A very interesting idea.
