Jack's sister is so getting on my nerves! I would have already kicked her out. She has zero common sense and with her irresponsibility, she's totally turning Zoe against Jack. They need to get rid of her really soon.

I liked that Thorne helped them save the kids even though she had to reveal a bit of what she's looking for. She's not a complete villain and that I like about her.

Other than that, kinda an average episode. Though Captain Eureka was funny :P

Is it just me or is Eureka losing its vibe? This season's arc is much better than in the previous two years but still, it feels like there's just something missing, that the show is slipping into average. Maybe it's just the new, fresh shine rubbing off? Who knows?

And I finished Patricia Briggs' "Iron Kissed". GoodReads is telling me that it's the 77th book that I read this year. Hm, maybe I will break the 100 books threshold this year?

The book itself was interesting but not as good as the previous too. Maybe it was the fact that it concentrated on the fae and I was more interested in the werewolves, the pack dynamics etc. Also, there wasn't enough Bran. Well, there's never enough Bran, to be honest, he's like Kenyon's Ash - the most awesome figure in the series. But I'm happy that Mercy finally decided between Samuel and Adam and that we learned more about Ben because I really liked him.

Now I'm curious about Briggs' next series about Charles and Anna. I don't like Anna as much as Mercedes. Anna is too much of a victim and I hate that in women. I find it demeaning when a woman doesn't step up against a man, when she lets him use and abuse her. That's so not me that it raises my hackles. But maybe Anna is salvagable and since Charles is Bran's son and the pack's executioner...

And I decided to bite the bullet and read the first Harry Potter. Not that I find it all that interesting but I want to at least know what the hype is about.

Other books to read:
Anton Strout's "Dead to Me"
Naomi Novik's "His Majesty's Dragon" and "Throne of Jade"
Ulrike Schweikert's "Nosferas"
L.J. Smith's "Vampire Diaries"
Katie Waitman's "The Merro Tree"
among others... ;P

I haven't read Iron kissed yet - I'll be picking it up this weekend. But I'm dieing to know who she picked (I don't care if I am spoiled - I have my ideas based on how she is when she's with them and how they are when she is with them - if that makes any sence at all)

I read the first Alpha Omaga book - I don't realy like Anna. I haven't read Briggs other works but I don't think Anna is the sort of chericter Briggs writes well. It takes a partictular type of person to write someone comming off abuse as still a strong chericter. if that makes any sence.

It's nicely explained what made her choose the man, so it wasn't a spur of the moment decision. For me, it was pretty obvious from the very beginning whom she would choose.

And I also read Alpha and Omega. It didn't really grab me - although it was the best story in the anthology - but I hope that it'll get better in the books.

yeah - the decision seems obvious to me - although I liek both of them and would probalby date both of them - if that makes any sence.

Ok so hang on there was a short stroy Alpha and Omega? I read the novel "Cry Wolf: an Alpha Omega Novel" what anthology is the stroy in - if I had read that maybe the Novel would have made more sence? It sort of started mid stride...

Yup, there was a short story called "Alpha and Omega" in the "On the Prowl" (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0425216594?ie=UTF8&tag=httpwwwgoodco-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=0425216594&SubscriptionId=1MGPYB6YW3HWK55XCGG2) anthology. It explained how and why Charles and Anna met, how they got together.

Ooh, pretty layout! Like the fall colors. ♥

And - yes, Eureka is kind of losing its charm for me. I don't even know why, but... it used to be shinier. I haven't even watched the last episode, but I can feel my interest waning.

Thank you, thank you!

And yup, the show used to have more... energy? It kept surprising me in a nice way and it usually gave me this warm fuzzy feeling but now, watching it just feels like going through the motions, you know what I mean?
