You know, Jared's been talking about how much he loves the episodes where Sam and Dean fight against each other. I mean physically. That's why he loves Skin or BUaBS so much. And he says that he would like to see Sam and Dean do that in future episodes too, that he would like to see what would make the brothers choose opposite sides and fight against each other instead of side by side.

Err, no. Please, Kripke, don't go there. This brother-against-brother horse has been beaten to death in tons of other shows already. And I hated it every frickin' time. Sure, it's fun for one ep or two or in fanfics but as a longer arc or even as a whole new direction... Just don't. Please.

I would like to see Sam get his powers back and become all mighty and powerful and go all demonic and dark against Lilith, but only if Dean stayed by his side, trying to restrain his... err, "urges" - not that way, sheesh! - trying to be his conscience but at the same time doing his best to protect Sam too. That would be awesome, but Dean vs. Sam - definitely no!

Oh my, I fell under the spell of House MD fanfics once again! And that thanks to [livejournal.com profile] wihluta's podversion of "A Modest Proposal" by [livejournal.com profile] ignazwisdom - 56.000 words of an awesome House/Wilson fic! *rolls in the pretty*

And since I'm already talking about House/Wilson, there is a cute vid over on YT: 10 best House/Wilson moments XD

And, it's my mother's birthday today, so I gave her books! \o/ Dean Koontz's "Odd Thomas" and "Forever Odd", "The Face" and "Velocity", Amanda Quick's "Ravished", Catherine Coulter's "Evening Star" and Steven Barnes' "Blood Brothers".

Also, I went to the mall and had a lunch with the twins today and I bought more books... Rebecca Hagan Lee's trilogy "Once a Mistress", "Ever a Princess" and "Always a Lady" and Sharan Newman's "Death Comes as Epiphany".

And, if that wasn't enough, I bought DVDs! The miniseries The Secret of the Sahara with Michael York and Andie MacDowell, the old Czech comedy with Vlasta Burian Když Burian prášil (which is hilarious!), the Hong Kong movie Infernal Affairs 2 and The Contractor with Wesley Snipes and Lena Headey. So yeah *dead*

Brother vs brother happens even in the best families but it will be short...i hope, otherwise our hearts will break in pieces

It would be hard to set the brothers against each other and still keep the show from sliding into dark angst pure. In this case, there would be no way for Sam or Dean to be the same "happy go lucky" guys as they've been so far :(

You read House/Wilson! My favouurite author is [livejournal.com profile] deelaundry. Have you read any of her fics? She does romance and comedies and AUs so very, very well, I love that lady :D

And yeah, I hate that brother vs brother thing, too.

I don't know this author. Do you have a favorite fic by her? The only author I do know well and and adore is Eos aka [livejournal.com profile] ducks_in_a_row...

And I really really hope that Kripke won't turn Sam and Dean against each other. The show is dark enough as it is. That would be too much angst and that's something coming from an angst!whore like me, really.

Her list of fics (http://deelaundry.livejournal.com/31872.html). She's the only author that I read in the House fandom, because she posted, like, twice a week! And with so many SPN fics to read, I really don't have the time to read the other authors. But I read hers, because she'a good. One thing I like about her, it's not all about the smut. Her House / Wilson is mainly on the relationship itself. Because to be honest, I can't read House NC17s.

My favourite is the 'My Father's Son' universe ( scroll down for it ). House and Wilson are married, but no one except Cuddy knows about it. They have a son, Jack, who's House's biologically, but they gave their son Wilson's name. So the story is mainly told from Jack's POV, from when he was a wee kid to when he was an adult. Yeah, the story ends with House and Wilson being old. It's really a marvellous story - funny at times ( when House was being his usual badass self ), touching and very, very sad at times. She's still writing fillers for that universe from time to time. Do give it a try!

Sorry for the rambling but I'm Dee's fangirl! And I can't really squee about House because there's hardly any House girls on my flist, and I'm so happy to know that you're reading House, too!

I've heard of [livejournal.com profile] ducks_in_a_row. Does she write H/W? Got any story to rec?

Eos' fics (http://www.pandemonium.me.uk/eos/). I love her "Lost Causes" fic. Long and angsty and funny! :)

Thank you for your recs. I will have to check them out :)

Dean vs. Sam would be fun... for five seconds. And then the angst would overwhelm everything else on the show. Without the SamandDean snark and comedy, the rest is too one-sided!

Exactly. As I said above, I'm an angst!whore but too much is simply too much. For example, I do love the arc with Dean's sold soul but with the strike and all, it does seem to be turning out to be too much this season. I hope that they will solve this in the season finale so that we can start fresh in the new season.

I think Sam v. Dean would cause so much brotherly angst the whole of fandom would implode. It's really not worth the risk.

I really hope so. I don't think that there would be any place for humor on the show at all if they turned the brothers against each other. Fans would find it inappropriate and offensive. And the show would be way too dark. I see people complaining that it's too dark as it is...

but Dean vs. Sam - definitely no!

Hear, hear, petal!

And a belated Happy Birthday for your mum ^_^!

Oh, and we have a friend that wants us to go round his to watch the Infernal Affairs movies, as we've never seen them.

I told my mum you wished her Happy Birthday. She said thank you. It made her smile :)

My twins friends loved Infernal Affairs I. I don't have that movie though, it was sold out. Puh :(

I really don't wanna see more brother vs. brother. I like it much better when they're working together.
