CBS cancels Jericho. Too bad. I wasn't a fan but I know that there were some fans of this show on my flist...

Padalecki in for 'Friday' remake. Jared obviously got a leading role in the remake of this famous horror movie. Hurray for him. But I don't get why fans are so derisive about it. I mean, it's not like interesting roles grow on trees. First fans complained about the Thomas Kinkade movie, now they complain about this. Right. I would like to see THEM win ANY role, let alone the leading one in a movie produced by Michael Bay *snort*

SO MUCH WORD. I was reading fan reactions on the comms, and I was going, WTF? Dude, Jared just landed a LEADING ROLE, and people are all, "Oh, I'm so ashamed to watch it in theatre," or some crap like that. Our boy just scored big, a little support goes a long way.

(and wtf, we're all watching SPN here. no matter how fannish we are about the show, we do know that SPN, underneath all that hype, is just a campy, sometimes cheesy, horror'ish show, right? what's with all the jabs at Jared's new film?!)

I'm glad Jared's putting himself out there. He has to start SOMEWHERE, and I'm going to watch the movie on the same day. I hope he's going to launch a successful movie career (after SPN is done with season 5).

I really hope that he does well. I mean, I would be the first one to admit that he wasn't that great of an actor at the beginning of SPN but he got so much better since then. He does badass so great! :D

I had been ttlay bumming about the friday the 13th remake (becasue they totlay seem to be changing the movie and I wasn't too thrilled with the halloween remake) but I'm JAZZED about Jared haveing a huge role in this. I may even go see it in the theaters.

Exactly! I have no idea what the horror is about, believe it or not, I have yet to see the original XP, but I'm happy that Jared grabbed the main part of a much discussed Hollywood movie. No matter the result, it will make him much more visible and known.

Yeah - I don't get everyone being upset.

I'm more upset about Hollywood only doing wierd remakes of older moives then Jared takeing a part in one. I'm a huge Horror fan and if someone offored me a part in - oh lets say Nightmare on Elm Street (and from what I've read that's what happend - they came to him and said 'be in our movie please') I'd jump at it!

My worry about him in this part is that a lot of Horror fans are going to be realy harsh because we don't want to like it. He's going to need to be REALLY REALLY good to win people over. On the up side Jared is really really good now.

:D I know of one more but I can't find it anywhere and not even the fic finding comm could help me. It's actually a gen story where they are on the run from Henricksen and Dean signs them in in a motel as lovers because he figures out that Henricksen won't be looking for a gay couple :) It's a bummer that I can't find it :(
