So yeah, they canceled Stargate Atlantis after its ratings were going up even on Friday 10pm! They will continue with a series of movies. Right. Two hours a year is really awesome compared to 20 hours of entertainment a series provides. I mean, I know that I should be happy for 5 years of great entertainment and the movies coming but I'm still angry and disappointed and sad.

The thing is, I just really don't get why they did it. The ratings were going up, the show was selling online excellently, the merchandise is a hit too... And they cancel it to make place a new Stargate show that might turn out to be a very expensive flop. Insanity.

Nobody understands it. But mostly, the fans suspect that they just wanted to make room and get the money for Stargate Universe, the new series. For MGM it also brings in more money if they make a movie and sell it directly on DVD instead of sharing profits with the network on a series.

I adore it and I still feel bitter about the cancellation *sigh*
