I like the new direction this show is taking. The cases are less cracky and more real, Shawn isn't just a loon anymore, he has more depth now. I like it very much indeed.

Steve Weber! Oh my, how I loved him on Wings and in Jeffrey! He's just great :) I liked the way in which this episode was told. I also loved the case itself. And the double danger/betrayal was a nice twist. I also adored the interaction between Shawn and Juliet, when he gave her his message. And then Shawn's little smile when he managed to trick his uncle. I bet that Henry was really proud of him :) Though it was a bit sad, as if Shawn lost some childhood illusion...

This episode was quite interesting. First, we are shown that Henry a) might have forged evidence to get the guy and b) that he was wrong, at least partially. Shawn was portrayed as quite competent and he told his father outright that it was their case, his and Gus', and that he would play by their rules or not at all because it was his, Shawn's, butt on the line. And Gus being fed up with their constant bickering was quite funny too :) And of course, disco! I felt a bit sorry for McNab, though - Jules and Lassie are quite cunning, really. But it was funny how it always turned against them! XD

Oh yes. Jules and Lassie are now equals and they behave so. Jules isn't the newbie anymore :) And I love that they show Shawn's darker side a bit too, that it's not just fun and roses for him all the time. During S2, I feared that the show would jumpt the shark with eps like the American Duos one :(
