Of spoilers and DVDs...

I crave spoilers this hiatus. And there are almost none SPN-related! *wails* The bits and pieces that popped up so far are rather general - though very very exciting *bounces*

But I read all the SGA spoilers available so far - up to ep 5x15 - and I must say that some of them make me very much excited, others rather scared...

This spoiler for 5x15 made me rather scared: "The result = a scene that will have all the Shep-whumpers screaming “Yes! Yes!” and then “What?! NO!! NO!! NOOOO!!!” The gloves are off, kiddies." That makes me very very nervous! I hope that they won't kill Sheppard! *bites nails*

And I ordered the gay movie Third Man Out on DVD. Amazon has it down to 12.45 USD. Chad Allen and Sebastian Spence as lovers in a gay mystery based on Richard Stevenson's "Donald Strachey Mysteries". I love it, truly love it!

They CANNOT kill Sheppard. That would be suicide for the show. He's the freakin' co-lead!

And there are other spoilers for this ep that have me quite worried: "Marty G. objected to my brutal treatment of Sheppard while Paul took issue with one particular Holy Sh*t Moment in that regard. I agreed that the scenes are dark, but I argued they're necessarily so. No clean and comical this time out for our hero as the chickens come home to roost. Or, in this case, one particularly bad-ass rooster." and "The only one that worries me is what I'll be doing to Sheppard at the end of the third act. I suspect more than one person in the room will say something to the effect of: 'Are you nuts?!' Should make for an interesting debate."

I don't care what happens to the others, as long as Sheppard and McKay stay their awesome themselves!

See, I'm not craving spoilers for SN at all. My imagination can provide all kinds of possible scenarios to keep me entertained. I know that the one thing I would be interested to know - how Dean is retrieved from hell - is not going to be leaked, and just about everything else will hinge on that one detail. So I don't find myself longing for spoilers at all.

It's funny. After season one's cliffhanger I was desperate to know what would happen next!

I'm usually a spoiler-whore. I stayed spoiler-free only for the remain of S3 - I simply couldn't handle Bela and just knowing that she would be in an ep made me twitch. But the hiatus forces me into withdrawal, you know? And these bits and pieces of info make the new season sound so interesting! Especially the fact that Kripke wants to go back to character-driven stuff for the brothers!

I've been willing enough to read Kripke's interviews so far, although that was mostly because I have a friend who tends to panic about spoilers, so if she has seen something that disturbed her I have to read it to, so I can calm her down! The general direction is one thing - and it sounds so potentially amazing the thought of having to wait is unbearable - but I don't want to know anything specific. I've stayed mostly spoiler-free since early season two, and it is amazing to go into each episode a complete blank slate, no preconceptions whatsoever. Even knowing tiny things - like having seen someone else boo or squee - sets up expectations, and I'd rather make up my own mind. This hiatus is going to feel horribly long, though, after that ending!
