The state of me

I'm still here, I'm alive and exhausted to the point of just sitting down and crying but I promise that I'm not ignoring you, my dear flist *hugs all*

This week's been hell and it's still not over yet. On Monday, I worked my butt off to finish my current translation because I knew that I would have no time to work on it this week. In the afternoon, I started clearing out my room and the kitchen downstairs and I continued doing that on Tuesday morning. In the afternoon, they came to replace the windows in my room and said kitchen - and while they were doing that, I mowed the lawn in the front. Then we had to clean the whole house because dust was everywhere and to get to my room, the craftsmen had to walk through the whole house! On Wednesday, I had to get up early because I had an appointment with my doc. When I came back, the masons were still not finished with their work yet. It took them another two hours to get the whole thing done. And then we had to clean up everything again - the mortar was literally everywhere! On Thursday, we painted the kitchen downstairs. Today, I had another check-up with another doc. And now I'm about to go and mow the lawn in the back - yes, we have a huge garden. Tomorrow we need to wallpaper my room... And on Sunday, I will collapse from exhaustion!

And if that wasn't enough, my boss gave me a huge pile of books saying, that I need to read and review them all *head/desk*

During the whole week, I slept on a makeshift cot in the library - yes, we do have one room designated solely to books - and now I feel like a broken pretzel...

The only thing that kept me going were my Stargate: Atlantis DVDs and podfics! I will have to swoon over that later because I should be already somewhere else, doing something else. Sheesh! Beaten by RL...

*hugs* I hope that next week, everything will quiet down a bit. On the other hand, my aunt and uncle are coming over to stay with us next weekend so... *groans*

I hope so too. My room already looks different. We moved the furniture, replaced the linoleum with a carpet... and with the new huge window, it looks quite awesome :) *huggles*

I hope so too. I have so many comments to reply and stories to read and comment on *groans* But finally, the whole do-over here at home will be done. And I won't be freezing my butt off during the winter anymore XD

I just love that you have a library! Glad most of the trauma is over and hope that your aunt and uncle don't stay too long so that you and your mum get some well earned r&r *snuggles you*!

Yup, we do. I remember how funny it was when I went to IKEA and bought not one but 4 bookcases. The guy looked at me like this: O.o;; Heh!

Today, we finished wallpapering my room and now we will take a much deserved break from any kind of physical activity - us = couch potatoes! XD
