So, the con in LA

Some thoughts... and probably unpopular opinions.
* I feel sorry for Chad Lindenberg. Obviously fans didn't have many questions for him so the pauses were rather awkward. I mean, come on, he was Ash!
* I read about Kripke's panel, even though there were some tiny spoilers there, nothing overly specific though. He's cute and so enthusiastic. But when I read the part where he talks about how they go over the budget all the time and that's why the lack of classic rock and only 38 minutes per ep, I was thinking: "Dude, so drop Bela/the girls, have fewer regulars to pay and give us back minutes of airing time and/or classic rock! If you don't have the money to spend, why do you add more characters and make them regulars from the get-go thus binding yourself legally to use them and pay them?"
* And about the fact that Jason Manns doesn't like to see his and Jensen's song on the net for free - it's perfectly understandable, he needs the money, its his copyright. On the other hand, so far - as far as I know that is, forums are not always the most reliable sources - he has no plans at all to release it on his site/CDBaby/the net, so what did he expect? If he offers it to a very small group of people on cons only and other folks have no way to get their hands on the single even though they would like to actually buy it...
I really love this attitude: We won't give you any real chance to buy it for honest money but shame on you for obtaining it illegally. It's what irks me about people/TPTBs complaining that folks download TV eps via P2P or whatever. Fine, give people who live abroad the chance to buy SPN, SV, Chuck or whatever episodes via Amazon, the way US citizens can do it, and I will pay the 2 bucks a week for the chance to have the ep downloaded within minutes instead of hours on a slow BT tracker. But if you do not offer us the chance to buy it legally, then do not complain that we get it another way!
