CW's ratings for last night were very very bad... Crowned's original ep got only 1.40 mil. and 1.1/1 in the demos. The repeat of One Three Hill brought in 936 000 viewers and 0.8/1 in the demos. Ouch! Go, CW, go! *snort*

Also, in the pifeedback forum, there is a huge buzz about tonight's Lost ep. Critics give this season's premiere 87%. I'm afraid that going against it will hurt Supernatural tremendously, Lost being a genre show (even Kripke thinks so). Yes, I'm no optimist. A lot of SPN fans are also Lost fans and because Lost is a serialized drama, I think they will watch that and DVR SPN.

So, my prediction for tonight is 2.8 mil. viewers for SPN. At the best. But maybe not even that. Please, Supernatural, prove me wrong!

I don't understand what people see in Lost. It's boring! Mystery after mystery after mystery with no explanation whatsoever. Unlikable characters stuck on a weird island. I apologize to the fans on my flist but I find it terribly, awfully boring. Just like other serialized shows - Prison Break and even Heroes lost me somewhere this season *sigh* It feels like watching Dynasty with a bit of action here and there - hey, even Dynasty had alien-ish weirdness :(

For a lot of us, the fact that a show is serialized is part of the draw. I love my weekly Heroes and Prison Break cliffhangers. I have a feeling I'd like Lost.

I like for my shows to have a "red thread" throughout the season, one or more things they come back to often but I like for the show to have a stand-alone episodes too that a fan can get into in season 2 or 3. In a serialized show, if you didn't see the 3+ seasons before, you don't even have to bother trying because you'll understand zip about what's going on :(

I like both kinds of series. If a series is interesting, I don't care if it's episodic or not. Even some of the good shows that aren't episodic are better if you've watched them from the beginning. House is a great example. The in-jokes make more sense that way. ^_^

Did you watch the latest ep of House? The Xmas-y one? I didn't see it but I heard that there some great scene with House and Wilson...

Yep, I downloaded it and watched it on Wednesday morning. It was a very nice episode. It would have been better if they'd actually shown it around the holiday, but I still enjoyed it. There was a good plot twist about a patient at the end.

House and Wilson were so good together. The scene they had when they were outside talking was good, but I still can't believe they had Wilson outside in December, in what's supposed to be New Jersey, without a coat! ^____^
