Some news from the USA Network...

NBC announced that Monk and Psych would make the jump from basic cable to prime-time broadcast television in March, as the network repurposes shows from NBC-owned USA.

and

TV Guide's Michael Ausiello is reporting that USA is canceling both The 4400 and The Dead Zone.

Yay, more exposure for Psych! Though I feel bad for the fans of The 4400 and The Dead Zone. I was never a fan but that doesn't mean I wanted to see them canceled :(

Oh, and how do we know that the next episode of Supernatural will air Jan 31st? SpoilerFix still lists it for Jan 3rd...

Best guess. Smallville comes back that day, so. :P Plus, it's sweeps, and the networks seem pretty set on having as much original programming as possible during sweeps. *shrug*

(And according to TV Guide and the CW's official listings, on January 3rd a repeat of Sin City will air.)

I just hope that fans will pay attention to when the next episode will air. I don't think that the CW will be all gung-ho about promoting it - not like they promoted today's ep of SV (last week's ratings probably scared them :D). And at the beginning of this season, the premieres of SV and SPN didn't air together, so we will see...
