Captain Jack and SPN fic recs

You know Torchwood's Captain Jack? Even though I have yet to read a fanfic in this fandom, there are some things that I consider canon in the way I see him. And one of them is the answer to one particular question: Is Captain Jack top or bottom? XD

Well, I think that he's top in most of his relationships. Okay, in all of them except for two: with Dr Who and with Captain Harkness. In my opinion, these two are the two great loves of his life. I think that Jack's obsession with "the right kind of doctor" is pretty well known. And his relationship with Captain Harkness...

That episode was one of the most beautiful, most touching romances that I've ever seen. The way Jack was completely smitten with Captain Harkness, the way he let the Captain take over, the way he gave up control... The dance... It was truly beautiful. And I think that if it didn't end the way it ended, Captain Harkness would have been THE love of Jack's life, maybe even greater than Dr Who himself...

The relationship in Captain Harkness was absolutely stunning and gorgeous and so doomed. I mean (our) Jack fell in love *so* fast and hard that, well, I've been there and even if the other one does reciprocate there's no idea how it's going to end up going in the long run. That takes a whole lot more commitment and love and well, it would have been interesting to see how it would've played out I must say. *ponders*

But it was awesome and amazing for a one episode arc. :) Plus I have no idea if you like it but Jack/Ianto is supposed to be one of the more prominant relationships this upcoming season. *happy sigh*

And yeah, he's mostly top in the fics. Except for a few switch arounds but I highly doubt Jack complains about, well, anything sex related. XD

Jack x Captain Harkness is actually my favorite Jack pairing (with Jack/Ianto second). I wish I could get into Jack/The Doctor, but it doesn't work for me. Maybe it's because I liked him better with Nine than with Ten??? I see him more as a top, too.

I would have to re-watch the show to get into the Jack/Ianto ship. For me, Ianto is always about the robo-girl. I keep waiting for him to do something devious, to take revenge on Jack.

Mine too! I mean, Ianto isn't bad but I keep waiting for him to do something devious because I have him way too connected with the cyborg-girl.

You know, I have my own theories about that. And espeically with the Captain's blog and such I don't think Ianto's ever gonna take revenge of Jack.

He's a smart man, he realized that it was Lisa's time to go. It's just he wasn't able to do it himself and while he may have some feelings of resentment about Jack doing it I think it was a lot of relief that now he's able to properly mourn her.

Oooo, the Captain's blog is from the offical website on the BBCA and it's basically Jack's write up from the episodes. It's written by one of the writer's but I'm not sure who. I'd guess Chris but that's just 'cause he's my favorite. *Grin*
