According to this TV.com article Heroes was declared a family friendly TV show by The Family Friendly Programming Forum (FFPF). Uh, are they talking about the same show that I'm watching? The show where a man eats other people's brains and a high school chick cuts of her toes just to see what will happen? *shakes head*

And I constantly receive spam from various @toostupidtobepresident.com addresses. Are they trying to tell me something? O.o

There is a lot of familial love and loyalty in the series, perhaps that is why it got a family friendly rating.

I don't think I would want my pre-teen child watching the series though, if I had a pre-teen child, that is.

Well, I would say that for example Supernatural has much more family love but that's because there are only two lead actors so the family thing is kinda the focal point of the whole series whereas in Heroes with so many characters, it disintegrates a bit. If Heroes was only about the Petrelli brothers, I would be so happy! As it is, too many characters can be too much sometimes :( And it showed in the decreased ratings too :(
