I have a Supernatural related question about the strike...

I'm afraid that so far it looks like this season of SPN will have only 12 episodes but... what does it mean for our show? I suspect repeats will follow. But what about season 4? What are our chances of getting S4? Will the strike lower them or raise them? And since the contracts were signed for 22 episodes, what happens when they film only 12 of them this season?

The longer the strike the less likely networks will be to cancel anything because Pilot Season won`t happen. Of course they will try to clean house and scrap the total losers of the Season - Cavemen and some others - but unless they want to go all reality, all the time, most shows are safe.

I`m guessing once we get into rerun/reality overload their stupid ratings will crumble because of oversaturation.

Bigger problem, can the little, shaken CW survive a long strike as a network? If yes, SPN will be back. If no, well, if we`re very lucky a cable channel might pick us up. Sigh.

And since the contracts were signed for 22 episodes, what happens when they film only 12 of them this season?

I guess they would have all kinds of clauses in their contracts to cover that. In a way it`s not different than a show be cancelled mid-Season if the actors have a full-year contract. They wouldn`t get paid of course and simply have to fulfill their contractual obligances whenever they pick up shooting in July/August.

True, the CW really does bad. But considering that they don't have such a big coverage as ABC or other networks... I just hope that CBS won't let them fall on their noses since they own the CW.

And I don't think that the CW will have any problems survivng the strike. Their relatiy shows are their best rated programms - America's Next Top Model, Friday Smack Down...

And rating-wise we don't do that bad. We have still 500.000-700.000 more viewers that Gossip Girl and Reaper.
