"We found the safe open this morning," the guard confessed, eying his master fearfully. "It was empty except for the card." He pointed at the white paper rectangle sitting propped in the dark hole in the wall.
Whipping out his revolver from its holster, Azura shot the guard in the forehead. "Incompetent imbecile," he growled.
The gun still smoking, Azura grabbed the card in his free hand and suddenly, his annoyance turned into amusement.
Quid pro quo... said the card in shining gold letters.
Azura smirked. He had taken Ray's Amethyst and Noir now took his diamonds…
The chase was on!
