"Come on, pal. It can't be that bad!"
After a long, uncomfortable silence, Brian said softly: "I ditched an undercover job. Let the perp escape…"
Roman grinned. "And? Was she pretty?"
"He," Brian corrected, smiling slightly when Roman sputtered and coughed. "Dominic Toretto…"
Wiping his mouth, Roman frowned. "What the…"
Brian sighed wistfully. "He owns my soul. Until I die and beyond."
