Fic recs...

Before I start working - actually, I should already be working but whatever - some fic recs!

dueSouth:
SLASH --> Fraser/RayK: "Eight Sessions" by Speranza. Probably the best dueSouth fic that I've come across until now. In a shoot-out, RayK shoots four men to death and injures two more. Now he has to face the IA and eight sessions with a shrink. And because Fraser was there with him, he has to go to a psychiatrist too. But while the shrink is helping Ray, Fraser is falling apart. And it looks like the shoot-out wasn't a simple self-defence after all. This is a beautiful story of Fraser and Ray falling in love. It happens so naturally that it's completely believable. 30 000 words of an amazing story.

Supernatural:
GEN - "Shatterglass" by lyra_wing. In this story, Sam Adamson attends Stanford but he feels trapped there. He's having strange dreams that feel real but contradict his own reality. And so one day, he takes his car and simply drives away. And in a town called Lawrence, he meets a mechanic by the name Dean Mitchell. This simply floored me. Wow!

Speranza ruined me for the dS fandom. She set a standard and now I find myself unable to read anything else. Personally my favourites are Chicago's Most Wanted (Fraser has amnesia) and With Six You Get Eggroll (gay Brandy Bunch just about sums it up).

Besides Speranza's stories, the best fic that I've come across is "Edge of Snow (http://arrow00.livejournal.com/2916.html) by arrow00. I think I'm a little bit in love with that story I think :)
