A transcript of an old chat with Jensen Ackles from the time when he was still filming DOOL.

I think it's funny that he did the "I don't smoke" commercial back then, considering that he smokes now... O.o Oh, and another funny thing:
Question: What are your major turnoffs or dislikes?
JA: Definitely smoking is a big no-no for me. I don't like the smell and the image.

And believe it or not, I'm not fixated on him smoking. Really. I'M NOT! XP It's just that, in the light of the present circumstances, it struck me as funny when I read that :)

A couple of days ago I read an interview with him and Jared from May 2006. They were obviously drunk during the thing and he really wasn't talking well about people who read tabloids or watch reality shows. I could have swallowed that because I don't watch them either but then he said that even Supernatural isn't the most intelligent show on TV and they are just forced to say something else. And now, I've come across a chat with him from some years ago in which he insist on hating smoking and now he smokes himself. He is contradicting himself a lot and I'm not sure what to think about it. Unfortunately, I'm more and more afraid that he isn't all that nice after all and I would really hate that...

I know what you mean. You don't think hes perfect, but don't want him to shatter the image you do have of him.

I know he is not perfect and no one wants him to be. But I hoped that at least he was still a normal guy, that fame didn't get to him... It just makes me a bit sad, you know? All the actors and other people on the set say what a great guy he is, he and Jared both, but then you come across a thing like that and it makes you wonder...

I read that before, and that was not part of the translation I read. I guess that is always part of reading a translation. You never know what it true, an what isn't. I wouldn't get SO worked up over it though. I doubt he would say something like that, in an interview where LOADS of people can read it.

Exactly. Did you notice that since then, the blond PA accompanies him to every interview? And it's not that he said it, it's that he even thought it, you know? That it's his opinion...

But it's true that they were drunk - I mean talking about masturbation? O.O It's just kinda disappointed me. I try not to take it seriously - I mean, sheesh, it's been a YEAR! - but it just stuck and I can't get it out of my head *shakes head*

And I know what you mean about translations - I work as a translator myself after all - there was this article just a couple of days ago that someone translated from French and in the translation they wrote about Jensen and Danneel breaking up but as far as I know, they are still a couple so and someone else said that it was just bad translation of a certain word.

I don't really bother with too many of these interviews anyway. Because unless you actually HEAR someone say something, you never know how it was meant. Maybe it was meant as a joke, and the interviewer doesn't portray it that way? I highly doubt that Jensen would be an ass about this, about his own show. A show he doesn't just star in, but is a star OF. He has had his PA with him all along as far as I knew... What do I know though. I am just not going to get worked up over something someone said he said. But I understand how you are upset. Unfortunately, I am at work and gotta go pretend I am doing something now. Bleh!

So true :) You actually just made my day, you know that? I feel better now. I mean, I remember one interview with JA where he said that Tom Welling was a jerk. It was clearly meant as a joke - them being friends and all, the way he said it, grinning - but if I just read that...
