At first, there was [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_bigbang. Now, it's the multi-fandom [livejournal.com profile] apocalyptothon and [livejournal.com profile] spn_harlequin. Great, great fics. I think I love fandom these days. Especially since I'm staying away from any and all the wanks out there :)

I noticed a big plot hole in the Pushing Daisies TV series. Correct me if I'm wrong...

Ned can touch dead people and make them live again. He can touch dried-up fruit and make it all fresh again... So, basically, he can make anything dead alive. So why when he touches for example a wooden chair doesn't it sprout leaves? Because, isn't a chair essentially dead wood? *scratches head* Feel free to explain it to me :D

Dude, I have no idea. But then, that's like asking why most ghosts/spirits in tv/films can go through walls but usually have no problem sitting on couches. Or even have no problem walking on the ground, you know? Sometimes one just needs to suspend their beliefs or something :-)

It never fails to make me roll my eyes at the whole thing, then I just ignore it - like the rest of the world, I'm sure - and everything is good.

We're supposed to leave next week, on the 10th.

Maybe it's because the fruit and the people are still mostly together as a unit. The wooden chair is chopped up trees nailed together so it's one one piece, ergo not a single formerlyliving organism?

maybe there's too much varnish? It forms a protective barrier between the dead wood and Ned's fingers?

Do you remember king Midas? When he touched anything, he changed it to gold. I think Ned can touch things, but only when he has the desire that it would not be dead he can make it live. The second touch is probalbly "automatic" :D Am I helping?

Hm, I don't think so. I mean, then he could touch dead people without wanting to wake them up. But whenever he touches something dead, it's alive again. But as someone said, we just need to suspend our disbelief. I mean, just look at Supernatural - with rock salt against ghosts? X))
