This episode was so awesome that I almost have no words...

The ep was so incredibly heartbreaking. Dean's pain, Sam's lifeless body... Dean selling his soul, getting only one year of life in exchange, and Sam finding out... And their secrets...

Yes, the secrets. Sam never told Dean that he has demon blood in his veins and Dean never told Sam that there is no hope for him to be saved... I mean, the Crossroads Demon told Dean that either she gets his soul at the end of the year or Sammy dies. So no matter what Sam'll do, Dean'll go and give her his soul anyway because he won't be willing to risk his bro's life... But he still let Sam believe that he could save his brother. Dean's smile was so sad in that scene.

Speaking of that scene, the one at the very end between Sam and Dean in the woods - my favorite scene in the ep. During the stand-off with Jake, Sam realized that he had been dead and that meant that Dean must have sold his soul to bring him back. And then, at the very end, when he asked Dean and wouldn't let him not answer the question... the tears in Sam's eyes when he realized what his brother had done and that he had only one year to fix this, to fix Dean or he would lose him forever... That was gut-wrenching. Though I liked Sam taking charge, all bent on saving Dean, no matter what.

Bobby... lets not forget Bobby. Jim Beaver is so cool playing that part. I mean, as much as I like John Winchester, if I had to choose between him and Bobby, I would take Bobby. The scene at the beginning when he tried to pull Dean out of his misery and then the one in the scrapyard, when he realized what Dean had done, that he had only one year left... That was incredibly awesome. I loved it how he couldn't believe that Dean had such low self-esteem. And I bet that the John!lovers will kick me for this but Dean's broken state is entirely John's fault. It's a nice change to see some parent figure actually rooting for Dean.

I loved Ellen too. She wasn't overly prickly and I liked that. Though the pretzels sound like a really lame excuse if you ask me...

And the chick playing the Crossroads Demon - I couldn't remember where I saw her. Didn't she play Katrina in The Collector?

This was such an incredibly beautiful ep. I've been watching it over and over again. It's truly made of awesome. That's why I can't understand, why it received the lowest rating EVER! 2,74 mil. people only. For pete's sake, there are dozens of shows like Grey's Anatomy or CSI, but only one Supernatural. And I mean it literally. There are heaps and heaps of doctor shows and heaps and heaps of procedural dramas! Too bad that these two shows had their season finale yesterday too. So, their ratings went up, our went down...

At first, I was anxiously waiting for any word about a renewal for season 3. Now we have it and I'm anxiously waiting for any information on how many eps the network ordered. I think that that'll be the first sign of how much they trust Supernatural. But I still fear that should Reaper become a hit, we'll be screwed. A lighter, more comedy oriented show this similar to SPN, a show that Dawn Ostroff, the head of CW, obviously loves (she kind of dislikes SPN, saying, she doesn't "get it" O.o), a pet project of hers... if that one turns out to be a hit, our days are counted X(

Lowest rating ever? Oh you're breaking my heart! How is it even possible? The episode was so gorgeous and heartbreaking and oh, SPN!

I absolutely loved it and have watched twice already and I'm gonna watch it again. And again and again. Just like that *nods*

You are right, this episode was gorgeous. That's why the ratings where like a cold shower or a punch in the gut, really. I was so happy and excited and then this... I think it'll take some time for me to find my way out of this misery :(

Just before the Upfronts, they announced that Supernatural had a full 22 episode order for Season 3. I guess that could change midyear, but at this moment, we still have a full season in store.

Thank you! At least one good news. I would say that for a mid-season change the ratings would have to be really bad. Like Veronica Mars bad - some eps weren't even 2 mil. I think - and hope - that these last two ratings were a bad coincidence, the finales of the power-shows clashing with ours, and that next season, we will be back strong - or as strong as possible in this timeslot :(
